I have an interesting relationship with Gwyneth Paltrow. She has the ability to make me happy and sad all at the same time. After 8 days on vacation when I got back and the Goop blog told me what I needed was a detox latte, I listened. We literally ate bacon and baguettes for breakfast one morning – so I think Gwyneth was actually being quite clairvoyant.
All that said, this is for the serious, kombucha drinking detoxers – definitely not for those of you who eat the whole wheat bread and stop there. Kevin refused to get within five feet of my mug. I do have to say, I drank these for a few days straight and the second I stopped my skin has gone downhill. Bottoms up!
Recipe as follows:
Sweetener of Choice (Maple Syrup, Agave etc.)
Peel and chop 1 heaping teaspoon of ginger and 1 heaping teaspoon of turmeric. Put in bottom of high powered blender with 1 tsp sweetener – I used maple syrup. Simmer 1 cup of almond milk. Add almond milk to blender and pulse until frothy. Enjoy!
