• Together we create.

Collaboration between Kevin and Kalah is second nature. They have a unique connection. Before they were married, they were creative cohorts for over a decade. Their connection is the most natural and symbiotic part of their business and a key ingredient in their success. They do not always agree, and they like that. When they work together, they challenge each other to be their best and trust and respect each other’s vision. They welcome client input. If Kevin’s vision has a window where Kalah wants to put a bed they discuss both perspectives, add the client’s requests to the mix, and develop the best solution.

What truly sets Kevin and Kalah apart are their daily dialogues. There is no pretense or reservation about the designer talking to the architect when he is just down the hall. There is no detail that gets lost in translation. They are a true design team. As a result, every step of the process is infinitely more enjoyable for everybody, especially their clients.

  • Kevin's architecture is both dynamic and multi-faceted.

Prior to becoming a principal of KTII Design Group, Kevin ten Brinke RA was the principal of Kevin ten Brinke Architecture for over ten years. The design firm’s residential portfolio began to grow as Kevin received more and more requests from private clients to design their homes. His substantial experience also includes the design and construction of commercial office buildings along the East Coast.

During his professional career, Kevin has worked for architectural firms that specialize in luxury residential design and commercial architecture. His additional experience with landscape architecture firms and commercial real estate development companies has broadened his aesthetic sensibility. Kevin’s ability to nurture a project and work collaboratively are his trademarks. His design aesthetic is impeccable, and he is a highly accomplished project coordinator.

Kevin is a registered architect and is LEED accredited.  He is an Architecture and Management graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in Troy, New York.

  • Kalah's design sense balances traditional elements with a current twist.

Before becoming a Principal at KTII Design Group, Kalah had been the Principal of Kalah Talancy Interiors since 2001. Her early training was with two of the most reputable design firms in Boston, Frank Nicholson Incorporated and Mollie Johnson Interiors. Under their influence, Kalah developed a reverence to balance and form and fine-tuned her attention to detail. Kalah has travelled extensively throughout Europe, Central America and the Caribbean. Every trip provides new sources of inspiration and fuels the evolution of her design sensibilities.

Kalah’s experience includes projects of diversified scopes with a focus on high-end residential design. Kalah pays close attention to her clients’ interests, lifestyle, and aesthetics to assure her vision reflects their personal style.

In addition to the beach and her garden, Kalah enjoys entertaining and exploring the world with her husband, their two girls and Cockapoo, Captain.
